What is the KeyBank Routing Number?

A routing number is a number you use when you transfer or receive money. You might be wondering what the purpose of the routing number is and why it is so important. Here is a brief explanation for you.

The KeyBank routing number is a nine-digit set used to identify the bank location where the account was opened. This is also a way for the Federal Bank to process the money and send the appropriate documents to the right agencies and authorities.

Without it, there is no way for the processing party to know where the funds will be sent to and its details. So basically, the KeyBank routing number or any bank’s routing number is an identification number both for the account holder and the bank.

To find other routing numbers, you won’t need to go far. See our list of DCU routing numbers, the Regions routing number, the America First routing number, or the list of RBFCU routing numbers.

How Do I Find My KeyBank Routing Number?

The routing number is actually present in your checkbook. If you are having a hard time remembering numbers, especially nine digits, you can always count on your checking account.

All you need is to look at one of your checks, and you should find it there. It is located at the bottom-left corner of the page. It is usually named ABA Routing Number or the Transit Routing Number. It is usually next to your account number to find it easily.

If I use a different branch for banking purposes but my account was opened in another branch, which one is my routing number?

To simplify the banking process, banks use the branch and location where your account was opened as the one which is your routing number.

Can I find out the routing number on my debit/credit card?

No. A routing number is only used for bank-to-bank transfers. Therefore it can not be found out using your debit or credit card. However, you can bookmark this page for easy accessibility so that you can find your routing number whenever you need it.

Is my Routing Number and Account Number the same?

Routing Numbers and Account Numbers are different. According to location, the routing number is the number used to identify a particular bank branch. Account Number is specific and unique to your account. Therefore, many people will have the same Routing Number, but no one will have the same Account Number as you.

  1. I’ve had it all done by people who use Keybank. It also allows multiple companies to choose an account for their company without giving credit card information. I have no real idea where they came from and what they did with it. Though, I’m glad they had it in mind.
