What is Charles Schwab Routing Number?

Routing numbers are identifiers that banks use for wiring money into your accounts. Such numbers vary per branch. Since this is an online bank. Thus, you only need to remember one Charles Schwab routing number: 121202211

If you happen to forget this number, then you can find it on the lower-left-hand corner of your check. You might want to know that the first two digits on the routing number determine the location of your bank in the 12 Federal Reserve Bank districts.

The succeeding two digits identify the Federal Reserve Bank district branch assigned to your bank. The following four figures determine the physical location of your bank. The last two digits would be the checksum, a formula used to calculate if the routing number is correct. This is the same case as Huntington Routing Number, Bank of the West Routing Number, and HSBC Routing Number.

1 thought on “Schwab Routing Number – United States (How to Guide)”

  1. I thought this was going to be about a random number, or possibly not some random number which is probably not a good guess. And I know the original article would have been more informative. But I doubt this was the case. Anyone know if Schwab routing, or any other online payment provider, would do well to get the address of the customer to be the correct address, and not the wrong one. You could just set that number to the right number, which I think would be a better idea if you had a simple way to get the address from the customer (and not just use the real address instead)…
